What demoralise-motivates Good Employees? How to motivate your Employees to be Awesome

A company’s managers and bosses are responsible for the well-being and source of motivation for providing a healthy working environment for their employees. To ensure a team or an employee works with full commitment and give their very best, producing anticipated results, they require that determination and to be in the right mindset which they good from praise and acknowledgement from their high officials.

Unfortunately, these employee matters are often overlooked and not given the important they require and it leads to work toxicity, inefficiency and unwillingness to work and surprisingly, the management plays a big role in the matter.
It is extremely crucial to attend your employees as it revitalizes them and gives them the encouragement and sense of work attachment which helps them to think better.

So what causes the toxicity?
Line managers, bosses and even the higher, fail to acknowledge some of the needs of employees which spread hopelessness and having to support or acknowledgment which affects the office environment. If you feel your employees are not working up to their level of competence and feel that they might not be giving their best, lack of recognition might be the cause of it. Some of the things which causes de-motivation:

Lack of vision
Good employees are visionaries. They know their principles and they know their goals. It keeps them up and going fresh. But a lot of people have little to no idea what their motive to work is.

Too much workload
Yes, employees are hired and paid to work, but they are humans, just like their managers and bosses. Everyone starts slow till they are stable but even the experienced, can work to an extent. Impractical workload is the number one motivation-killer.

Job insecurity
Those who are afraid of losing their jobs or their position spend most of their time worrying and contemplating. This can happen because their work isn’t being credited properly or they aren’t receiving quality feedback for the work they do which leads to a situation where employees are unsure whether they are delivering up to expectations or not.

Feeling under-valued
Every person needs some kind of recognition and praise for boosting confidence and self-value. Public criticizing is neither productive nor good for employees but public acknowledgment is a surefire way to make them feel good about themselves and automatically strive to give their best.

Lack of good leadership
For new employees, without guidance they will lead themselves into trouble without any trouble! When they are still in a learning stage, they need a hand to help them know the right way without tumbling down. Although that is a good way to learn, leaving new ones completely on their own will do only harm and no good.

Things you can do to help

Simple Acknowledgement
A simple ‘Good Work’ does the trick. Proper recognition is all they need to keep going good.

Help them search their goals
Managers and bosses, with their experiences can help their employees find what they seek and help them to better understand their skills and abilities, giving them a boost in motivation.

Casual meetings
Having short chit chats and “Hey how are you doing today” talks will let them know that they too are important and the boss can talk stuff other than work too.

Cut them a slack
Everyone fails at some point in their lives, that too, multiple times so it’s okay if they were unable to finish a job in time and its okay to let them off one time. They will themselves make sure it doesn’t happen again.

Share jokes to lighten up the situation
Let them know bosses can too be funny and aren’t there just to work, work, work. A joke here and a joke there will keep mind fatigue at bay. A serious environment is prone to diseasing a good mind.
These small things will surprisingly change the environment of your workplace and keep both, you and your team happy and healthy.
